Managing Director PBM, Amir Fida Paracha and President PATHWEL Maj. Gen. (R) Suhaib Ahmed sharing the documents of MoU to support the poor patients for Bone Marrow Transplant, in Islamabad

Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) extends support to Pakistan Thalassemia and Welfare Society (PATHWEL) for Bone Marrow Transplant to poor patients suffering from various blood disorders. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony took place here in PBM’s head office. Managing Director PBM, Amir Fida Paracha and President PATHWEL Maj. Gen. (R) Suhaib Ahmed inked the MoU in the presence of Vice President PATHWEL, Dr. Jamal Nasir. The MoU explains the PBM’s support for Bone Marrow Transplant of poor and deserving patients referred by PATHWEL.
Addressing the ceremony, Managing Director PBM Amir Fida Paracha said a poor family is inaccessible to the costly treatment of Bone Marrow Transplant. As well as supporting the poor patients of cancer, cardiac, kidney, hepatitis and other diseases, PBM is also facilitating thalassemics for their treatment, blood transfusion and medicines.
On the occasion, Maj. Gen. (R) Suhaib Ahmed highlighted that PATHWEL has established a centre of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant which is providing indoor and outdoor hospital facilities exclusively for the patients suffering from various blood diseases like thalassemia, aplastic anemia and blood cancers.
Dr. Jamal Nasir, in his address, expressed his gratitude to Managing Director PBM for extending the support to PATHWAY and anticipated for the benefit of many poor patients of the country.
