Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) celebrates Universal Children’s Day in F-9 Park, participated by the children of Dar-ul-Ehsaas Centre and PBM School for rehabilitation of child labour. Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection, Dr. Sania Nishter, Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Aon Abbas Buppi, Minister of state for climate change Zartaj Gul, MNAs Shaheen Naz Saifullah and Sajida Begum witnessed the colorful performance of the children there. The speakers lauded the confidence and abilities of the children and also admired the PBM’s efforts for grooming them in an encouraging environment. While addressing the ceremony, Managing Director PBM, Aon Abbas Buppi said that Children translate and determine the future of a nation, if they are not cared properly, the future of a nation is endangered. Our Government, under the visionary leadership of honorable Prime Minister Imran Khan, is committed to ensure that all girls and boys grow up healthy, well-nourished, well-educated and protected from violence and exploitation. Highlighting the organization’s initiatives for upbringing and care of children from the downtrodden segments of society, Managing Director told that PBM has established 55 Darul Ehsaas where more than 5500 poor and orphan children are being accommodated. Through its Child Support Programme, PBM is also offering conditional cash to the parents who send their children to school for education. Further PBM’s 159 centres established throughout the country, getting away the children from the hazardous child labour environment and imparting education to them in a conducive class room environment.
