Mr. Shaheen Khalid Butt has earned high regard being Senator in Pakistan Senate (from March 2018 to March 2024). During the tenure he implemented numerous public policies along with vigorous participation in monitoring & evaluation of several financial reports and budgets.
After Graduating in BSc. Honors (Botany) from University of the Punjab (Lahore), he embarked on a remarkable journey with his tenure in Pakistan Military. With the distinctive services, he rose up to the rank of captain before resigning his commission from Pakistan Army. The remarkable link with the military inculcated in him a strong sense of discipline, leadership excellence and alacrity that caused for wrapping up indefeasible achievements in life
The love and care he had for the people of Pakistan didn’t impair even after his relocation to United States of America (USA). For his unprecedented efforts to address the concerns of Pakistani expatriates, Senator Shaheen Khalid Butt was nominated to serve the country as Vice-Chairman Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission and Member Board of Governors Overseas Pakistanis Foundation. During his five year tenure as Vice Chairman (from 2014 to 2018), Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission made a history by resolving more than 16000 complaints of Overseas Pakistanis to their complete satisfaction, under the flagship of Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, then Chief Minister of the Punjab.
The invigorated efforts of Senator Shaheen Khalid Butt for highlighting the Kashmir conflict are also recognized internationally. Mr. Butt’s key role in several organizations is a clear resonance of his exertions linked to a dedicated, passionate and purposeful life. There are also landmark performances to his credit serving as, Chairman Pak Cultural Society (USA), Executive Director Kashmir Information Centre (USA), Founder/Chairman 313 Kashmir Society and Founder/Chairman Pakistan Veterans Association.
Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt, for his marvelous services to the nation, Prime Minister Islamic Republic of Pakistan entrusted him a colossal responsibility to lead one of the largest social safety nets of the country. He instigated his duties being Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal on December 20, 2024; with a passion to implement an inclusive strategy in align with the federal government's vision of curbing poverty in the country.
