Objectives

 

  • Institutional rehabilitation of the poorest through Public / Private (NGOs) partnership.
  • Provide grant-in-aid to registered NGOs  for their projects focused on poverty alleviation.

 

Benefit

 

  • Rs. 626.584 (m) disbursed for 932 Projects from 1992 to Jan 2011 to different NGOs.

Institutional Rehabilitation

NGOs engaged in welfare projects Welfare projects are also being provided financial assistance through PBM. Since 1992 to Jan 2011 Rs.626.584 (m) has been disbursed among 1006 NGOs. During the financial year (July 2010 to Jan 2011) Rs.21.121 (m) has been disbursed among 31 NGOs under different strategies such as:


 

i. Institutional support to Orphans, disabled, abandoned and destitute women, aged, children of juvenile

 

ii. Institutional support to orphanages, covering the expenses of orphans in the field of Health, Education & Vocational Training.
 

iii. Institutional care of deserving, with stress on eye care and innovative Pilot Rehabilitation Project.

 

                              

      Objectives

·         Provide grant-in-aid to registered NGOs

·         Strengthen existing and new institutions aimed at rehabilitation of needy persons

     Eligibility Criteria

Grant in aid is provided to registered NGOs fulfilling following conditions:

·         Proven track record of three years.

·         Rules and regulations are laid down.

·         Full disclosure of all assistance taken from other sources in last three years.

·         Maintaining accounts in auditable form.

·         Working for rehabilitation of poor and needy through public private partnership.

·         Releases will be linked with agree physical progress.

·         NGOs having satisfactory performance may apply for subsequent grant / assistance.

·         False declaration or provision of wrong information may result in recoveries and permanent ineligibility or debar from all PBM schemes.

Sharing of capital cost by PBM at the ratio 50% and 50% share of NGO.

Free eye care for cataract  operations

Technical committee assists PBM in selecting suitable NGOs

Actual expenses of cataract operations provided on annual / quarterly basis

    Strategy-III

Innovative Pilot Project

PBM-NGO’s partnership for 3 to 5 years  

Sharing of capital cost and recurring expenses 50% NGO

Total PBM Share shall not exceed Rs.27 million
