1: Future Vision
i) Enhancement of Food Support Programme (FSP)
Presently bi-annual cash subsidy of Rs. 2400 under Food Support Programme (FSP) covers almost 4 months wheat expenditure of family with budget of Rs. 3 (b) for 1.25 (m) households countrywide. Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) has proposed to enhance the rate of subsidy from Rs. 2400 to Rs. 8400 to cover full year wheat expenditure of an average household, requiring additional budget Rs. 7.5 (b).
ii). Conditional Cash Transfer under Child Support Programme (CSP)
Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal has planned to pilot a new project namely, Child Support Programme (CSP) from financial year 05-06 with additional cash incentive (Conditional Cash Transfer) of Rs. 200/- to family with one child and Rs. 350/- to the family with two or more children for sending their children to schools. In pilot phase 10% FSP beneficiary families shall be covered.Rs:400(m) has been earmarked for this pilot in the budget for the F.Y 05-06.
iii). Individual Financial Assistance (IFA)
Coverage of programme to be enhanced with increase in budget with emphasis on rehabilitation and education.
iv). Institutional Rehabilitation
Coverage of programme to enhanced benefiting more NGO’s working in rural areas.
v). National Centre(s) for Rehabilitation of Child Labour (NCsRCL)
Centres to be upgraded upto matric level, each District to have one centre.
