PBM Act envisages rehabilitation of invalid & destitute persons. Pursuant to the Act, Bait-ul-Mal Board in its 51st meeting decided to establish PBM Old Home, initially, one each at Provincial/Regional Head Quarters (Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar & Quetta) as a pilot project, for 50 senior citizens. After successful implementation of the pilot phase, this scheme would be replicated for females as well. PBM Old Home would provide basic necessities of life in a dignified manner and in a family like environment i.e boarding, lodging, food, clothing, medical case, recreation etc.
