On 15th March, 2010 a media report was telecast on news channels about two cojoined twin girls being born Surriya Bibi, village L 103/9, District Sahiwal .
Upon the directives of MD Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Zamurad Khan, the concerned family was contacted by PBM authorities and a special ambulance was arranged to transport the cojoined twins and family from Sahiwal to Islamabad. The cojoined twins were admitted at PIMS Hospital, Islamabad and MD Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal while lauding the role of media in this regard, immediately declared release of Rs. 6,00,000/- from Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal's account for medical treatment of the twins besides announcing Rs.50,000/- as financial assistance for the concerned family.
The MD Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal also announced free boarding and lodging facility for the family of cojoined twins to relieve their suffering.
